Position: Developmental Support Worker
Location: Ajax and Whitby Locations, Ontario

Job Summary:
We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Developmental Support Worker to join our team in Ajax, Ontario. The Developmental Support Worker will be responsible for providing support and care to individuals with developmental disabilities, helping them achieve their full potential and improve their quality of life. The successful candidate will have experience working with people with disabilities, strong communication skills, and a passion for helping others.
Responsibilities:
➔ Provide support and care to individuals with developmental disabilities, including personal care, feeding, and medication management
➔ Develop and implement individualized support plans based on the needs and goals of each individual
➔ Monitor and document progress towards goals and communicate any concerns to the appropriate parties
➔ Support individuals with daily activities, including meal preparation, housekeeping, and transportation
➔ Provide emotional and social support to individuals and encourage their participation in community activities
➔ Work collaboratively with other members of the support team, including families, caregivers, and healthcare professionals
Requirements:
➔ Completion of a recognized Developmental Service Worker (DSW) program or equivalent
➔ Minimum of 1 years of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities
➔ Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings
➔ First Aid and CPR certification is an asset
➔ VSC Up to date
➔ Safe Management Training
