• Pistahan sa Toronto

    The Filipino Centre Toronto took over hosting the Annual Pista Ng Bayan in 2003. This annual event commemorating our Independence Day and showcasing our cultural heritage is celebrated around June 12, which is our actual independence from Spain. This annual event held at Nathan Phillips Square has become every popular with our kababayans, as it not only makes us remember the sacrifices of our forefathers to obtain the freedom that we sometimes take for granted but also made us proud to be Filipinos even for a day. Approximately 6,000 people attend this two-day event to learn more about the Filipino culture and heritage and promote some of our local Filipino businesses.

    Cultural presentations: Filipino songs, dances, arts and crafts, Philippine painting and Filipino business with the famous Filipino cuisine and Lechon parade as the highlight . A mini parade for interested business and organizations with a marching band.

  • Santacruzan

    Refers to the pageant on the last day of Flores de Mayo held in honour of Helena (known as Reyna Elena) and Constantine finding the True Cross in Jerusalem.
  • Filipino Singing Idol

    Singing Competition showcasing the talents of Filipino singers. This is held during the Pistahan.

    Adult - 20 years old & older

    A multi-cultural, business and social presentation in the heart of Toronto with the Filipino community, and the Filipino Centre Toronto as one of the major participants:
